They just don't make em' like this anymore. When was the last time your monitor doubled as a standard tv screen with a cable input at the back. These days to watch tv on your monitor you need to get a graphics card, this monitor does away with that. Originally costing $1500 when it came out, the syncmaster had all the inputs you needed. At one point I had my digital cable, xbox, computer and 5.1 surround sound system hooked up to it.
Truth be told this is an older monitor circa 2005, however it is a very powerful product from samsung which has never given me a problem once. Its in pristine condition no dead pixels, no scratches, no dings.
